The Add New Gift Card feature allows store administrators to manually generate and issue gift cards for specific customers. This is useful for issuing complimentary gift cards, handling customer requests, or managing offline purchases.
✏️ How to Manually Create a Gift Card
1. Gift Card Code
Enter a unique alphanumeric code that will be used by the customer to redeem their gift card.
Example: GF-2025-ABCD
💡 Tip: Use a consistent format or let your system auto-generate codes for easy management.
2. Amount
Set the initial total value of the gift card.
Example: 100
(This means the recipient will receive $100 worth of store credit.)
3. Current Balance
You can also manually set the current available balance.
Example: 100
(In most cases, this will match the original amount unless the card is partially used.)
4. Expire Date
Specify how long the gift card will remain valid.
Example: 3 Months
or a specific date like 2025-12-12
.
🔔 Note: Expired gift cards cannot be redeemed.
